context
Temple of Youth is a 550 m² cinema located in Créteil, near Paris.
Designed by and for local residents, it is run by the Les Cinémas
du Palais association, which is responsible for the cultural project,
staff and technical equipment.
The aim was to restore cinema to a central place in community
life by making it a cultural and social space accessible to all
generations.

Results
A cinema project designed as a living space:
. The ground floor spaces offer a variety of film-related activities and encourage new ways of approaching cinema.
. The layout is designed to invite discovery, with a perception of time modulated by the diversity of activities.
. The whole promotes collective ownership of the space and reaffirms the cinema as an element of the city's identity and a unifying force.
